Anger Is Just Depression with Enthusiasm
Tuesday, May 3, 2011: They killed Bin Laden yesterday; don’t get me wrong, I wept openly on Sept, 11. And even went to a church service. But I can’t help thinking how the narcissistic [Expletive] on Wall Street whom caused this great recession and destroyed millions upon millions of lives, did far more damage to our country than Al Qaeda could have ever dreamed...I believe it was a financial coup d’état and if you agree with me then they are guilty of treason, and you know the penalty for that is? People have said "oh that’s offensive" you can’t say that, there was no loss of life." I thought about it. I have personally lost several close friends whom I attribute their death as a result of Wall Street wiping out their retirement and home equity and all hope of ever getting a well-paying job again. How many of you know someone or know of someone even now who is slowly killing themselves in some capacity because they have given up all hope; and if you think "well they didn’t break any laws" that’s because they are above the law which is fine! We don’t have to waste time with a trial. I believe anyone or organizations with that kind of power is in complete contradiction to the idea of our democracy. Even now you have kids sacrificing themselves on grenades for their fellow Americans while unregulated electronic traders are front running and high frequency trading on Wall St; along with the Bernie Madoff’s, Bank and Health Ins oligarchs; all raping the wealth of our democracy with a sense of entitlement and the remorse of a tyrannical monarch?
Breakout author Eddy Justice steps into the story and leaves traditional journalism to the critics as he chronicles his career from the inception of the public internet to documenting the last two years of life as a cellular network grunt. He cites how the "system" ran all aspects of his life and alludes to the impact it is having on society. He leaves impartiality aside and takes a stand for the middle class being decimated by the burgeoning oligarchy that he believes has done more harm to our nation than the attacks on 9/11. As an "integer" in a corporate spread sheet his journal documents our segregation into a two class society while citing others who share his views on the abuse of the ease in which both public and private institutions quantify and digitize everyone and everything. It is an unintended consequence of the information age and it is giving power and control to a select few.
