Courting Perceptions
Sensational on the tennis court, Teri’s game is undeniable. Focused, driven, gorgeous, and top ranking in the sport, reporters loved her. Off the court, her numerously fleeting romantic relationships feed the paparazzi’s insatiable need for sensationalism and exaggerated gossip.
When Teri’s party girl reputation threatens her career—Angela, her coach and manager, does everything she can to polish Teri’s public image. An easy-going sports journalist enters the picture, and Teri soon realizes her reputation off the court could also threaten her chance at love. From past experience, it doesn’t seem possible to let anyone into her life that way—especially not a nonchalant journalist who gets under her skin, has reason to believe all the tabloid gossip, and isn’t at all enthralled with the beautifully skilled tennis star, like most. Teri uses any rationalized defensive tactic to push her chance at love further away.
Despite their rocky start and unsettling interactions, Teri is unwillingly attracted to the gorgeous journalist. The attraction is mutual, but they must both come to terms with their desires and personal challenges to find the love they’re missing.
