If I Were a Chicken
With a love of learning, writing and mentoring, the author Lori Robertson has spent many years as a nurse and nurse leader filled with opportunities to write for professional newsletters, healthcare editorial columns, healthcare marketing, peer review journals and other healthcare organizational needs. This book evolved as she walked her farmette, a place filled with peace and a place where all things came into focus. With many free-range chickens, finding their eggs could often become a challenge. Once you find one nest, they would often move on - to another, hidden location. The cadence of the hunt developed the script for this book. The various chicken breeds and their egg color became a fascination that evolved into a hobby spanning decades. The author hopes you enjoy sharing this story with children as much as she loved sharing the egg hunt with her children.
