Middie's Memoirs

"Middie’s Memoirs: A Personal Journey of Discovery" is a compilation of convictions documented through the years that reflect the many interests of the author in his lifelong, personal search for truth. Several themes are addressed: banking, coinage, and taxation; politics and democracy; the origin of the universe; and religious legends in contrast to secular humanism. The longest chapter, "Income Tax: A Fresh Perspective," is a verbatim presentation that the author delivered to audiences in the late 1980s as a representative of the Hawaiian-based company, Cornerstone of Freedom, proving why personal or head taxes are unconstitutional. Though seemingly unconnected in the theme from chapter to chapter, the reader will come to know a contemporary Renaissance man who thrilled at the challenge of living and sharing an intellectual, honest life.
