One Woman's Journeys of Life
When Shirley was alive, she always told me she had cancer. I didn’t believe her, but one day she got sick and went to the doctor. They put her in the hospital to run some tests to see what was wrong with her. That’s when she really found out that she had cancer. I went to see her, and she told me that she knew she had it and that she had been telling me all along. Then she started crying, and she told me that she was just saying something. She really didn’t know that she had it. So she looked me straight in the eyes and said, "Margaret, be very careful for what you ask for because you just might get it." Now she’s gone, and I really miss her. She was like a sister to me. And I will never forget her.
