Poems of Reflection
Clara Marie Mitchell wrote this book to attest to her deep religious convictions as well as to entertain. There is a subtle humor which can be found in the poems and in the characters. Half of the book is devoted to God images and the conviction of eternal life. The rest of the book reflect practical experiences of work ethics, vocational experiences, and living out one's life from day-to-day. They include a panorama of experiences which incorporate many facets of life from parenting, childhood, vacationing, and decision making.
Clara Marie draws from her experiences of being a world traveler and of being well-read. She is concerned about the condition of people and express the need for others to help elevate the human condition. She deals with social problems and often suggests ways of handling these problems, insisting there is a need to uplift and help one another. A small portion of the book deals with artists and the background of some of their works. There is mention of Michelangelo's work as well as Di Vinci's. You can also experience a gondola ride and a bullfight.
