Supplication

I returned to my church to find it desecrated.

An unholy gang insignia scorched into the front wall of my sanctuary.

It had only been a few months since the rise and fall of the Cult of Lilith.

The prophesied antichrist, the woman shrouded in darkness, had nearly succeeded in summoning the mother of demons herself-at the cost of Simon's life, or so it had seemed.

Simon survived, but something seems to be dangerously off about him.

Now, a new threat looms over Detroit-Simon, Corvin, and I conscript one of Simon's city contacts, a female detective who gives me chills in more ways than one.

Our investigation begins with a single lead-the disappearance of a teenager girl who, according to the detective, calls herself Whisper. Meanwhile, an estranged relative of Simon's re-emerges while tracking a foreign assassin.

To put an end to the darkness plaguing the city, death may be the only answer... God?.. I need You now.
