We All Got off the Boat Together

Charles has walked with God for over fifty years after stealing a Gideon Bible from the prison chapel at San Quentin prison in California, where he was serving a one to life sentence. He has ministered mostly in the Western states but also in Mexico and Europe. On June 14, 2000 he was shot in the back while sitting in his car, after being stopped for a traffic violation by two undercover Los Angeles police officers. One of the bullets remains lodged near his spine in his upper back.
