Congratulations to Carol Johansson, author of The Old Beacon Pumpkin, for her book article in West Milford Messenger!
The story, inspired by her son’s school project years ago, tells of a glowing pumpkin scaring children until it reveals its friendly nature, teaching a valuable lesson about friendship. Her husband’s passing reignited her writing passion, and a friend illustrated the book. She also has another children’s book, The Frog and the Lily Pad, in the works, and she hopes to publish it within a year.
