Beth Hanley had her first signing for The Beast of Tapley Woods on Saturday, Oct 13 at a local coffee/ice cream/gift shop called Kingsley Crossing.
She not only had her books for sale, but had made two different scented soy candles and wax melts sets in the fragrances of her main character, Liam Tapley. She also made some leather carved bookmarks and wrist cuffs with book-related or Celtic designs.
For every purchase, the buyers put their name into a box to win the raffle basket which consisted of a large mug, coffee, Irish tea bags, and Scottish shortbread along with a candle and a 2-piece wax tart set. The piece de resistance, however, was the bagpiper hired to entertain and draw attention to the event. He was a huge hit with everyone and added the additional touch of class to the event.
Congratulations, Beth!

Lani Larson, author of The Bright Idea Series, recently held her first official book signing on September 22, 2018, hosted by the Glenmont Abbey Village. What a wonderful turnout it was!
Larson states, “It was a great day of seeing old friends, making new ones and receiving the unique ability to sign a future gift to someone. That touched my heart. Cake, balloons and music just brought the day together. I’ve had many children since this event send me their ‘bright ideas’. It was such a good turnout, that I was invited back to the Glenmont Abbey Village for their craft fair.”
On September 30, Larson attended the Local Author Book Fair at the Bethlehem Town Library. This was a very special event for her, as this is her hometown library. Natalie McDonough threw an amazing day for local authors in all genres.
On October 7, Larson was invited to speak during a ceremony for the Paradise Cruisers Organization at the Albany Public Library. It entailed her journey from retired gymnast with dyslexia to graduating college and finally the creation of Mr. Watts and The Bright Idea Series.
Congratulations, Lani!
To come on November 4 is the Glens Falls Chronicle Book Fair, being held in Queensbury, NY.
On November 29, Larson will be one of ten authors at the Northshire Book Store, on Broadway in the famous Saratoga, NY for the Annual Victorian Streetwalk and tree lighting ceremony.
