Virginia Lyman Lucas, author of World War II at the Movies, held a book signing event at The Meadows at Salem Run, in Fredericksburg, VA on December 7, 2018.
The author chose to hold her event on December 7, 2018, as this was the anniversary date most appropriate to launch her first book signing of World War II at the Movies.
She opened by reading a scene from Arsenal for Democracy by A.J. Baime, describing the morning of December 7, 1941 at Pearl Harbor. She discussed George H.W. Bush’s 58 combat missions as the youngest Navy pilot, and about the eight presidents in a row who all served during World War II.
